Zachary Barba


Described as having “a sweet, forward-placed” voice, tenor Zachary Barba hails from Brownsville, Texas and is a recent graduate of the Baylor University School of Music where he studied under Dr. Robert Best. This past summer, Zachary was a member of the Young Artist program at Opera Saratoga, where he covered the role of Paul and performed as the House Tenor in the American premiere of Gareth Williams’s Rocking Horse Winner and covered the role of Raoul de St. Brioche in The Merry Widow. In the 2018-2019 season, Zachary joined Houston Grand Opera’s “Opera to Go!” Outreach program in their production of Cinderella in Spain. Some of his other operatic highlights include, Pilade in Oreste, Henrik in A Little Night Music, Ralph Rackstraw in HMS Pinafore, Belfiore in La finta giardiniera, Alfred in Die Fledermaus, Alidoro in L’Orontea, and the title role in Albert Herring. Zachary currently resides in Houston, Texas.
