Rachel Policar

Soprano

Soprano Rachel Policar performed last season as Lisetta in Rossini’s La gazetta for Pacific Opera Project, Pamina in Mozart’s The Magic Flute for the Southern Illinois Music Festival, the title role in Victor Herbert’s Naughty Marietta for Light Opera of New York, and Blonde in Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail for the Bronx Opera.  In 2016, Rachel performed off-Broadway as Goldele in the National Yiddish Theatre NYC’s reconstruction of the Yiddish operetta Die Goldene Kagel (The Golden Bride), which received a Drama Desk nomination for Best Revival of a Musical.  Concert appearances  include the New York Choral Society, Sanibel Music Festival, the Garden State Philharmonic, and the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene.   Rachel graduated with a Master of Music Degree in Classical Voice from Manhattan School of Music, and Bachelor Degrees in Vocal Performance and Musical Theatre from Arizona state University.
