Mozart The Greatest Showman

Forget the powdered wig and the marble bust. Mozart knew how to put on a show. The Magic Flute wasn't created for a snobby royal court, but for regular folks who want to be entertained. A story of love and adventure, it's full of jokes, unforgettable melodies, scenic spectacle, fantasy, monsters and a passionate queen with crazy hair! To hear some of Mozart's greatest songs, and to learn more about The Magic Flute, join us for this free one-hour event. Peter Leonard and our talented young singers will give a lively preview of the wonderful fairytale world that Mozart created.

Long before Broadway, The Magic Flute was musical theater: funny, fantastical, accessible, and designed to bring down the house. This will be a fun hour of music and talk, with refreshments generously provided by the Dante Society of Virginia.

No opera expertise required! Curiosity encouraged! Admission: FREE 5:30-6:30PM on October 16 at the Opera Studios 701 Main Street, Lynchburg
