The story:
The opera begins with Prince Tamino being chased by a monster lion! A lady saves him and then he meets Papageno, a friendly Bird Catcher. Papageno gives him a picture of a beautiful girl named Pamina, daughter of the Queen of the Night. Tamino falls in love with Pamina at first sight, but the Queen is mean and scary. Pamina is lonely and unhappy and her father, Sarastro, comforts her. Tamino has a Magic Flute which he uses to find Pamina. Meanwhile, Papageno keeps hoping to find a love for himself. After much searching, wishes are granted, and the opera ends with joy and rejoicing!
