Chelsea Friedlander


Chelsea Friedlander, soprano and New Jersey native, started her 2018 season singing the title role of Marie in The Daughter of the Regiment with Light Opera of New Jersey. This summer Ms. Friedlander debuted as Cunégonde in Candide as an Emerging Professional Artist with Angels Vocal Art in Los Angeles, CA. In 2019, Ms. Friedlander will join Nashville Opera’s Mary Ragland Young Artist program debuting as Olympia in The Tales of Hoffmann. In 2017, Ms. Friedlander made multiple debuts including singing with Dayton Philharmonic, Dayton Opera, as Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Frasquita in Carmen, The Chautauqua Opera Company as Euridice in Orfeo and Soprano 1 in Phillip Glass’ Hydrogen Jukebox, and Pacific Opera Project in LA as Monica in Menotti’s The Medium. Other performance highlights include New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, Opera in the Ozarks, Saratoga Opera, Light Opera of New York, and Martina Arroyo’s Prelude to Performance Program. Ms. Friedlander holds a M.M. from Manhattan School of Music and B.M. from Cleveland Institute of Music.
