MICHAEL MAYES

Michael has performed with many opera companies across the United
States. Recently he was seen in the title role in Il barbiere di Siviglia
with Duluth Festival Opera, as Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte with Opera on the James, and as Ping in Turandot with Michigan Opera Theater. For the
Opera Company of Philadelphia, he performed the role of Edward Gaines
opposite Mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves in Margaret Garner, which he
also performed at Opera Carolina with Ms. Graves, to critical acclaim. He
returned to Opera on the James later in the season to sing La Bohème.
