Opera on the James’ production of Peter Brook’s Tony Award-winning adaptation of Bizet’s Carmen re-defined the tragedy of the mysterious, ill-fated Gypsy temptress. Our Carmen, Audrey Babcock of New York City Opera, was joined by handsome tenor talent David Ossenfort, one of the Three Terrific Tenors. The opera was directed by Craig Fields with returning Cosi fan tutte musical director Andrew Altenbach. Sung in French with English supertitles.
