Puccini's tragic masterpiece.  Joining Maestro Carmine Aufiero and stage director, John Harris, is a wonderful cast including Camille Zamora and Jeffrey Gwaltney as Mimi and Rodolfo; Sarah Heltzel and Corey Crider as Musetta and Marcello, Dimitrie Lazich as Schaunard, and Wayne Kompelien as Benoit and Alcindoro. Dr. Randy Spear will direct the adult chorus, and Peggy Howell will prepare members of Cantate Children’s and Youth Choir .   Principal Cast and Creative Team:

OTHELLO is a 1986 film based on the Giuseppe Verdi opera of the same name based on the Shakespearean play OTHELLO. The film was directed by Franco Zeffirelli and stars Plácido Domingo in the title role, Katia Ricciarelli as Desdemona and Justino Díaz as Iago. The Orchestra and Chorus of Teatro alla Scala are conducted by Lorin Maazel. Reception included .

Lynchburg Choral Union and Opera on the James presents "A Celebration of Opera" with choruses and arias from beloved operas by Lynchburg College Choral Union and Opera on the James Tyler Young Artists.  Dr. Jong H. Kim, conductor with Tom Getty and Rose Peak, accompanists.
