Rachel Hall, Soprano

Soprano Rachel Hall received national attention for her mainstage debut as Barbarina in the Santa Fe Opera’s 2013 production of Le nozze di Figaro. During the 2016–2017 season, Ms. Hall joined the roster of the Jacksonville Symphony on brief notice to cover the role of Gretel in the orchestra’s winter holiday performances of Hansel and Gretel, and made her role debut as Vixen Sharp-Ears in Dell’Arte Opera Ensemble’s production of The Cunning Little Vixen. In the 2017–2018 season, Ms. Hall rejoins Opera Company of Middlebury to both perform Giannetta and cover Adina in L’elisir d’amore, and rejoins the Canton Symphony for role debut as the soprano soloist in Carmina Burana. Ms. Hall has fulfilled young artist residencies with the Santa Fe Opera (for two consecutive seasons) and Shreveport Opera, and won an encouragement award from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. The current production of Così fan tutte marks Ms. Hall’s Opera on the James debut.
